CoachAI ("we," "us," "our") does not sell your personal information. This page explains what that means, what "sharing" means under California and similar US state privacy laws, and how to exercise your choices.
This page works together with our Privacy Policy and Sub-processors list. If anything here conflicts with the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy controls.

Do you use my health data, workouts, or meal photos for advertising?
No, never — regardless of consent. This category is excluded entirely.

What "sale" and "share" mean here
Under the CPRA and similar state laws, "sale" and "share" are defined broadly and don't require money to change hands. In plain terms:
Sale would mean giving your personal information to a third party in exchange for money or something of comparable value. We don't do this.
Share means disclosing your personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising — for example, so an ad platform can use your activity on our app to target or measure ads elsewhere. We only do this with your consent, through the marketing SDKs disclosed in our Privacy Policy (Section 12) and Sub-processors list: Meta Events Manager.
We do not share your health and wellbeing data, motion-tracking data, or meal photos for advertising under any circumstances — this is a hard exclusion, not a consent-based one.
How to opt out of "sharing"
If you're an app user: Go to Settings → Privacy in the CoachAI app and turn off "Marketing & Analytics" (or the equivalent consent toggle). This withdraws your consent for AppsFlyer and Meta Events Manager going forward.
If you're a website visitor or prefer not to use the app: Email privacy@coachai.tech with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information", including the email address associated with your account (if you have one). We will confirm your opt-out within 15 business days, consistent with CPRA requirements.
Authorized agents: You may designate an authorized agent to submit this request on your behalf. The agent must provide signed written permission; we may still ask you to verify your identity directly.
Opting out does not affect the operation of the app itself — you'll still get the same workouts, tracking, and coaching. It only stops the disclosure described above.
Limit the use of my Sensitive Personal Information
Under the CPRA, certain categories of what we collect qualify as Sensitive Personal Information ("SPI"):
Account credentials (e.g., your password)
Precise geolocation, if you choose to share it
Health and wellbeing data you choose to enter (weight, fitness goals, injuries, etc.)
Meal photos, to the extent they incidentally include images of you
You have the right to limit our use of SPI to providing the Services and a small set of permitted purposes (security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance). We already do not use this category for advertising. To formally exercise this right, email privacy@coachai.tech with the subject line "Limit Use of SPI."
If you live outside California
Several other US states — Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and Florida among them — give you similar rights to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or profiling. The same process above applies: email privacy@coachai.tech with a description of the right you'd like to exercise, and we'll route it correctly. Full details on which rights apply where are in Section 9.2 of our Privacy Policy.
Non-discrimination
We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised any of the rights on this page.
